FIRST AID SHORT COURSES

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, & HLTAID009 Provide CPR

These clustered units apply to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Participants must have a basic grasp of English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.

What will I need to provide to enrol?

  • Enrolment Form
  • USI (Unique Student Identifier)
  • Photo Identification (equiv. to 100 points)
  • Completion of LLN assessment
  • Copies of previous unit[s] (if applicable)
  • Full Payment

Prior to attending the in-person workshop (approximate duration of 6 – 8 hours), it is necessary to successfully complete the online learning modules and assessments (allow approximately 8 hours to complete this component) provided as part of this course.

Students enrolling in this course must also meet the physical requirements to respond to first aid emergencies, such as administering CPR. During your training and assessment, you will be required to simulate this process on a manikin on the floor.

In accordance with Australian law and the guidelines set forth by the ARC, individuals with disabilities or those who use a wheelchair or have other mobility needs that may impact their participation in these activities are encouraged to contact us to discuss their specific needs and accommodations for reasonable adjustment before enrolling.

This aligns with our commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements and ARC guidelines.

The ARC recommends renewal of HLTAID009 every 12 months    (1 year).

The ARC recommends renewal of HLTAID011 every 36 months (3 years).

CPR SHORT COURSE

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

This standalone unit has been designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to provide initial life support through CPR. 

Participants must have a basic grasp of English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.

What will I need to provide to enrol?

  • Enrolment Form
  • USI (Unique Student Identifier)
  • Photo Identification (equiv. to 100 points)
  • Completion of LLN assessment
  • Copies of previous unit[s] (if applicable)
  • Full Payment

ADVANCED FIRST AID SHORT COURSE

HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid

This standalone unit has been designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations.

Participants must have a basic grasp of English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.

What will I need to provide to enrol?

  • Enrolment Form
  • USI (Unique Student Identifier)
  • Photo Identification (equiv. to 100 points)
  • Completion of LLN assessment
  • Copies of previous unit[s] (if applicable)
  • Full Payment
